Which Size Yak Chew Should I Choose?
Our Himalayan Yak Chews come in two sizes:
- Medium – approximately 60g
- Large – approximately 80g
Choose a chew that’s comfortably larger than your dog’s mouth and appropriate for their size and chewing strength. Larger dogs and especially determined chewers will generally be better suited to the Large option.
Because these are natural chews, there can be slight variations in shape, size and colour between pieces.
Is a Yak Chew Right for My Dog?
Our Yak Chews are recommended for dogs aged 12 months and over with healthy adult teeth. They’re particularly well suited to dogs that enjoy firm chews and need something more challenging than softer natural treats.
Because Yak Chews are extremely hard, they won’t be right for every dog. Dogs with damaged, sensitive or weakened teeth may need a softer option, and dogs with known milk or dairy allergies should avoid milk-based chews.

Once the last piece becomes small enough to fit in your dog's mouth, take it away to avoid the risk of it being swallowed whole.
You don't have to waste the leftover piece, though. You can turn it into a crunchy yak puff by microwaving it until it expands, then allowing it to cool before giving it back to your dog.
